Podcasts for your business

Considering a podcast in 2025?

Podcasts, traditionally known as audio blogs, date back to the 1980s, beginning with the invention of broadband and digital audio playback devices like the iPod. Adam Curry, an internet entrepreneur and MTV presenter, is famously known as the ‘Podfather.’ He developed software that transferred files onto an iPod, enabling people to listen to these audio files on demand across a wide variety of topics. Thus, the podcast was born! But why have podcasts become such an exciting medium in 2024?

One thing I adore about podcasts is their beautiful authenticity. It’s simply two people having a conversation, showcasing genuine authenticity and naturalism. Donald Trump, whether you like him or not, is the first politician to appear on Joe Rogan’s podcast. Despite some pre-prepared training here and there, his polls have risen as people admire his authenticity and humor—qualities he doesn’t particularly get to display on a newsroom floor where he has an autocue and a producer or Republican shouting orders in his ear. Our podcast, Art of Communication (click), featuring husband and wife duo Robin and Sian, showcases beautiful on-screen chemistry. They chat, chuckle, and genuinely look like they are having a good time!

Podcasts can generate volumes of content. Did you know that a one-hour recorded podcast can yield over 100 pieces of content? Whether you have a product to share or simply want genuine brand awareness, podcasts are a legendary tool. We crafted similar content for Adam Architecture (displayed in the below image), where Hugh Petter promoted the architecture practice and his new book, “Living Tradition.” Not only did we create an extended 40 minute podcast with 20 deliverables. We were creative too and  made a documentary styled film (click). The opportunities are endless!

All in all, I don’t see why you wouldn’t want to consider starting a podcast. There is potential to make money through sponsorships, and you can create content that lasts for years, allowing any brand or business to show its true self. Take Horse’s Mouth Media’s project (click) targeted toward cinematographers wanting to enter the industry—we’ve created 25 pieces of content that we can continue to release throughout the year!
